Jan Frans van Douven, or Johan Francois Douven, (Roermond, 2 March 1656 - Desseldorf, 1727) was a Southern Netherlandish portrait painter belonging to the Dutch Leyden School. Fancher was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1884 and was a student of Henry Siddons Mowbray, Robert Henri, and Kenyon Cox. He was active in San Francisco as well as in New York, where he lived most of his life.
